2025 Summer Oasis Workshop Registration

Register now for our 2025 Summer Oasis Workshop Series!

Whether you’re new to gardening, or your garden gloves are always in your back pocket, The Park People's summer workshop series can help you green your yard into that dreamed-for oasis. Led by Neal Bamesberger, a professional horticulturist and arborist, these workshops will get you outdoors and learning hands-on how to employ creative watering techniques during the summer heat; site your trees and perennials for years of success; and shop smart at garden centers which can seem overwhelming with choice.

Important Note: these workshops are designed to get participants outdoors and into model oases where you can take inspiration for your own gardens. As such, we will be standing and walking outdoors. Please feel free to bring a folding chair or stool with you for sitting.

The Park People is a 56-year-old nonprofit with decades of experience working throughout Denver to plant trees, care for parks, and green our communities.

Please use this form to register for the workshops you are interested in.

We know you'll love learning how to create your own summer oasis!

Would you like to support our urban forestry work?
1. Volunteer with The Park People
The Park People is a Denver nonprofit that has been planting trees and caring for parks for over 56 years. Our Denver Digs Trees program has distributed some 70,000 trees to community members; our Mile High Tree Champions program partners with corporate sponsors for large high-impact tree plantings at schools, parks and housing communities; our Community Forester program trains skilled volunteers to steward trees in our harsh arid environment. Would you like to volunteer your time with The Park People to plant and care for trees and parks for a more beautiful, resilient Denver? Then please complete our Volunteer Application, and we'll add you to our email list notifying our enthusiastic volunteer community about upcoming opportunities.

2. Donate to The Park People
Your support makes our work possible. Due to the loss of a large federal grant earlier this year, we are getting creative in diversifying the financial support of our urban forest programming. Indivisible donations continue to be a critical part of that support. Thank you for any contribution that helps us plant trees and improve parks for a healthy, resilient future!
